3B,4B,5B,6B Pencil and charcoal on A2 Fabriano paper. This is my son who is 14 now and is my gift to his wonderful mother who has supported me in good times and in bad and i am so lucky to be with her.
Thank you, I love drawing them , it's so hard to get good references. I remember jumping around the studio trying to get him to open up and let his guard down and give us all a natural smile .. he was a lot of hard work and the photographer was getting paid by the hour had some trouble getting him to let go of that bear when we were finished as well great memories.
wow. I guess i missed this one.. Such a wonderful piece of art! I just love everything about this drawing shading, details.. and textures on teddy bear looks fantastic!! Really flawless work, instant fave from me!
haha! Its amazing the little details that would otherwise go unnoticed in life that come alive when you have to draw something. I remember drawing a pic of myself as a kid petting a dog---through a chainlink fence. Ugh how I wished then that it had been any other type of fence...!
Thanks I was nervous for sure and it was hard and as you know it's never perfect but i'm happy with it. As for the other drawings three down , one posted , one to put up after christmas and one not to go up at all and a few promises but nothing solid yet so i had time for this one.
What a wonderful drawing! He's adorable. I love, love, love the teddy bear. The "fur" is outstanding. The shirt is great. You really put some great effort with all the details. Last but not least, your son. His skin tone is really good and his eyes look so full of life. His hair is near perfect! Awesome job Mark!
