Graphite on A3 smooth Bristol.
Ref by Nomi Baumgartl www.nomibaumgartl.com/
No grids on this one .. greyed the paper and drew with pencils and eraser pencil and adjusted and refined as i went. Got myself a selection of new different erasers and this image was great for trying them out on.
Tools: smooth Bristol paper
Pencils: Faber Castell 9000 series pencils 3B-7B
Erasers: Kneadable eraser, Blutak, Faber perfection 1056 pencil eraser, derwent pencil eraser and a pentel clic pen eraser (yuk).
Blending: Tissues, cotton wool, q tips (cotton buds), detail paper tortillon, small stump, watercolour filbert brush, citidel stippling brush, Chamois leather

Thank you, i do own one but i don't like it .. buzzing around in my hand and it sort of goes where it wants (it was a cheap one). I gave it to my son after calling it a few unmentionable names ;). I used a wooden pencil eraser by faber on this one. did an ok job but the hairs were still too thick and bright for my liking. Learned a lot though which is why i did this drawing. Started using a tombow mono retractable pencil eraser along with the wooden one now for far better results.

Ok .. i'll put one together showing how i build up this portrait from start to finnish. May take a week or two though as i have a lot of catching up on DA. Feel free to note me a reminder if one doesn't appear after a few weeks as i do have a shocking memory:)

Man i love the hair! I'm freakin' lame when it comes to that, as my only tool is kneaded eraser, pencil eraser and electric eraser is not an option 'cause it's not available in my area.
Awesome job! Very good details :icongreatjobplz: :iconclapplz:

Many thanks Jeri, So sorry to hear you can't get the pencil eraser. Moan and nag your local store until they get one for you ;) The kneadable is a good choice but it will take a little longer to get it done. I don't like the electric one .. it's too big and vibrates a lot and has a mind of it's own. I say stick with the kneadable one and learn to master it, it's a great tool when used right. I still use mine a lot, it's great for lifting graphite off to give great skin textures and hair highlights. I like your gallery, your drawings are very good .. keep it up and thanks for the watch, much appreciated bud.

Another corker! You've got a lot of patience (and a skillful hand) to do the texture on her clothes. I usually lose the will to live with material, and bottle out.
